Most people have the misconception that if you have a valid civil rights discrimination complaint, the EEOC (U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) will come to your aid.
Since the Federal Government's Fiscal Year 1997, that EEOC has never provided legal representation for more than 0.6% of all complaints it has received. It is my understanding that the EEOC only takes on class action suits and individuals are left to their own devices.
