When you can't come to your piano lesson, your piano lesson comes to you. Look at the pictures on this page to figure out how to set up your Distance Piano Lesson using Google Meet, Google Drive, your laptop, metronome, and music app for optimal sound quality, picture, and communication.
Note: when using the metronome inside an electronic keyboard, make sure the metronome volume is set lower than the keyboard volume. This way, the teacher can hear your playing more than the loud ticking of the metronome.
There are other ways of doing video conferencing if you are unable to use the method shown above. Contact me with your concerns.
Shortly before your lesson time, you will receive an email inviting you to a video meeting. Open the email and click the "Join Meeting" button.
Within a day or two of your lesson, do your assignments and upload pictures of the completed assignments to your student folder.
(JPG preferred, but will also accept PDF.)
If you upload your assignments soon after your lesson, I will have time to look them over before your next lesson. If you need to make any corrections, do so and upload again.
